Get to know EPLAN Cable proD, the software that combines the electrical design data with the mechanical design data in one system which enables efficient determination of cable lengths for production planning.
EPLAN Cable proD supports you in daily engineering by determining cable lengths, automatically routing cables and completing parts lists in EPLAN Electric P8. Shorten your project planning times, increase your productivity and sustainably improve your project quality.
Who is this course aimed at?
For users who work in the planning of cables and the electromechanical cabling of machines and would like to get to know the basics of Eplan Cable proD. You may already have some experience of working with Eplan Electric P8.

Virtual cabling in the 3D model
- Importing 3D models from MCAD
- Positioning plugs and cables
- Laying and determining cable lengths in the mechanical model
Generating documentation for production, assembly and planning
- Creating and completing production documents (parts lists, cable diagrams)
- Generation of browser-based 3D models for cable laying
Interface to Eplan Electric P8
- Linking circuit diagram information from Eplan Electric P8
- Using 3D data from Eplan Pro Panel
- Writing back the information obtained to Eplan Electric P8
Optimisation of cable length determination
- Optimisation of cable length determination on the digital twin
- Targeted path determination in the mechanical model
