EPLAN Harness proD - Basic training
Goals and objectives
As a professional tool, EPLAN Harness proD 3D combines the data of the mechanical and electrical design in one system and thus enables the efficient development of a cable harness in 3D. EPLAN Harness proD 3D fits perfectly into the previous work processes. Automated steps from importing the wiring lists to routing the wires and creating the documentation including 2D nailboard drawings / 2D cable drawings are the strengths of the system. Conclusion: Development times are shortened, productivity increases and project quality is sustainably improved.
Who is this course aimed at?
An EPLAN user working in the planning of cable harnesses and would like to get to know the basics of EPLAN Harness proD 3D.
How long is the course?
Online seminars - 4 days.
Seminar requirements
Basic knowledge of PC, basic knowledge of Windows as well as basic electrical knowledge.
What topics I will learn?
- Clear management of all documents and information of a Wire Harness Project
- Individual formboard design in 3D
- Transfer of 3D data; interfaces to common MCAD systems and neutral CAD formats
- Individual definition of standard components like connectors, cables, surface protection etc.
- Easy definition of cable and wiring harness paths with intuitive "point-and-click" method in 3-dimensional space
- Fully automatic routing of wires and cables on predefined paths
- Test functions: Control of minimum bending radii, cross sections (also AWG) and wire harness collisions as well as checking bundle diameters
- User-defined material and parts lists, cable plans, as well as time, cost and quality control and weight calculations
- 2D production drawings - from 1:1 nail board to handy service documents
