Goals and objectives

Manage article and device data centrally and in accordance with standards. You will learn how to create and maintain master data in a structured manner and use it efficiently in projects. You will also learn how to ensure data quality and optimise access for all project participants through standardised processes. This training is aimed at data managers and key users.

Seminar requirements

You have completed EPLAN Electric P8 basic, Electrical Design Expert, EPLAN Electric P8 refresh or Electrical Design Refresh.

Contents 

• Creation and maintenance of article data 

• Importing manufacturer data (EPLAN Data Portal, etc.) 

• Use of article management 

• Definition and maintenance of classifications for devices and components 

• Automated linking of article data to circuit diagram projects 

• Handling device databases and accessories 

• Creation of company-specific standard sheets and evaluation forms
