EPLAN Electric P8 PLC and BUS systems
Goals and objectives
Do you work on complex projects with representations of PLC and industrial BUS topologies? The seminar provides necessary detailed knowledge in the area of project planning for PLC controls and bus systems. Compare data across the board with a PLC system. Determine your bus configuration graphically using the single-line representation in the project. By reusing the hardware and PLC software projects you have created, you standardise your design process, increase the quality of your projects and significantly reduce your project planning effort.
Who is this course aimed at?
You are an EPLAN user who works on complex projects with representations of PLC and industrial BUS topologies.
How long is the course?
Online seminars - 2 days.
Seminar requirements
You have completed EPLAN Electric P8 basic training or EPLAN Electric P8 refresh training.
What topics I will learn?
Learn extended functionalities in the PLC project planning
- Define PLC connections in the circuit diagram
- Book or assign PLC connections - Store property fields on PLC connections and PLC cards
- Graphical determination of the bus configurations
The representation of complex PLC connections
- Analog PLC inputs and outputs in Place circuit diagram - Channel-oriented processing of PLC connections
Visualise PLC data in the circuit diagram
- Create PLC overviews
- Create evaluation templates for PLC data
Efficient post-processing of PLC data
- Create projects with one and more PLCs (CPUs)
- Data exchange between engineering, planning and PLC programming via assignment lists or hardware configurations
- Exchange of different card or PLC manufacturers in an existing project
