EPLAN Electric P8 - Schematic Documentation According to Standards

Do you ever have documents returned for non-compliance? Save yourself the back and forth with this course as you gain a clear understanding of standards EPLAN adheres to and their effect on creation of schematic documentation such as IEC standards 81346 part I & 2. In this training, the abstract and theoretical descriptions from the standards are applied.

You have completed EPLAN Electric P8 basic training or EPLAN Electric P8 refresh training.

  • Relevant standards and their implications for project design
  • Structuring principles of engineering systems
  • Structuring a machine/plant
  • Translating standards to EPLAN Electric P8
  • Setting up and management of a function-oriented library
  • Setting up a standards-oriented project structure according to IEC81346-1 and -2
  • Code letter assignment for parts
  • Structuring, management and identification of documents according to IEC61355
  • Display and structure of the component codes according to standard IEC 61082
  • Characteristics of signals and connections according to IEC61175
  • Symbol display according to IEC60617
  • Evolving from an unstructured to a structured design
  • The correct arrangement of documentation in relation to the structure
  • Create reusable information and documentation
